Nice detail and head turn Doug, I also like the food in the beak.

Very nice detail. Interesting color in the background sky. I'm guessing 850mm is a 500 with the 1.7x converter?

Nice comp Doug. Love the head turn and food. Purple in the BG adds interest IMO.

I too like the detail, head turn and food in beak as well as the look of the feet on the tree, Doug. Two little nits: purple sky just looks weird to me (I guess I like pretty conventional colors in skies) and it would be nice to see some detail in the seed held in the beak.

Unique BG color highlighting the birds head/beak, how'd you do dat?
Great details and colors in the bird, and the bark textures add this close up as well
