Emerging Parchment Worm

Last spring I ran into one of the lowest neap tides I have ever encountered while at our timeshare on Sanibel Island, FL. It gave me an opportunity to capture some critters that I don't normally get to see along the shore line. This Parchment Worm creates its tube and then decorates it with bits and pieces of this and that as camouflage. I was able to catch it as it extended from the tube to check its surroundings.

Canon 7D, 100-400 IS on @ 400, ISO 320, F11, 1/400. About a 25% crop.

That is one strange and interesting looking character! I've never seen one of those before. I like the comp you chose and DOF. Great capture!
