Church Rock - Chile

This place is really something. The dome-shaped rock in the background is called "Rock of the Church" and is part of a natural sacntuary in Chile's central coast. This rock is home to thousands of birds that inhabit the area.
The second part of the story of this place, Constitucion, is that it was one of the most seriously damaged coastal villages in the past Feb 2010 Chile's 8,8 earthquake and tsunami. Even so, the rocks remain.
Photo:
I tried to capture the drama of the climate that day, along with the concept of "Rocks of Constitucion Natural Sanctuary" by including this cracks in the foreground along with the "Church".

I like the extensive foreground which leads into the deserted surroundings. An expressive composition together with the mainly grey shades.

Great leading lines in the FG. Without them, there would be too much FG there, but with them, the composition pulls the viewer right to the tall rocks in the distance. Grad looks very dark in the ULC. Perhaps making it just a little lighter would look more natural, if you can do it gently to retain the atmosphere.

Very nice composition and focus. The upper-left-hand corner seems a bit dark. I would love to see the same shot at sunset with a clear western sky. :wavey:

Strong graphic elements and composition Rodrigo. Excellent use of fg, mg, and bg.

This is a great photograph, Rodrigo, with lots of depth. Had you considered burning down the front corners just a snitch? I think it might enhance this photo even more. And like Gino, I'd like to see just a hint more detail in that upper left. Perhaps dodging by only .2 would do it. I really like the moodiness of that corner. Nicely done!
