Canal Rocks

These canals are created by the force of the large swells that pound the south west coastline and carve up the granite, and often there is too much swell to get close to spots like this. I got lucky the other morning and was able to play.
D3, 17-35mm, f/13, 3 sec, 2 stop Grad.

I like the colors and textures in the rocks, the long sweep of the swell, and the moody clouds, but the image seems too dark. Can you lighten it without washing out the foam on the water?

Nice shot Scott. The dark sky lends a nice touch of drama to this. It might just be my tired eyes, but it appears a little soft to me.
