I found this open space field from last fall to be as colorful as a field of wildflowers. Amazing since it's nothing but grasses, weeds, and native plants.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Morris,

I like this very much as posted. Beautiful subdued colors and rich interesting textures in a well balanced composition. I suspect, I'll be in the minority on this but I might crop down below the tree line to pano - mostly just because I find the meadow more interesting. Outstanding image as posted.

Morris there is a lot going on in this image but you have made it work. There is a lot of color variation to keep the eyes moving through the image. I do like the tree line in the BG I think it adds a nice balance to the image. Nice work.

Morris: Great find and great comp to bring order to the chaos. I can see Pat's pano suggestion but I like the inclusion of the trees and think you hit just the right amount. Well done.>=))>

This is so nice, Morris ! It reminds me of the intricate detail and delicious colouring of Pre-Raphaelite paintings, and is so beautifully composed. To make such an image out of so ordinary a group of plants is quite an achievement.

Awesome shot- Superb colours and nice chromatic contrast- The composition is excellent as is, maybe with such a nice scene you could try a different perspective, even without the dark background- great job, Fabio

What an interesting variety of flora, colorful indeed. You really framed up this open space composition well, because even though it doesn't have a primary subject, it does have key focal points in the scene for the eye to explore and enjoy. Nice one, Morris!

What a lovely medley of colors and textures. Well seen, most of us probably walk right past scenes like this. A lot of the vegetation on the right side is leaning to the right and it tends to pulls my eye out of the frame in that direction.

I like it Morris. There is a nice spacing of the larger elements. I Also think a crop like Pat suggested might make it a little crowded at the top. But that's pureky subjective as all comp issues are IMO. :toast:
