Something a bit on the ethereal side, from Canary Spring in Yellowstone.

More info about the making of this image can be found on my daily photoblog, along with some other Yellowstone winter images (in the process of posting images from my trip over the next few weeks).

Heading out for 3 weeks in Patagonia . . . smell you later dudes.

This is beautiful Ian, the rising steam/mist has given it a very ethereal look as you mention. The band of golden backlight looks terrific.

This is too cool. I can almost see the the mist moving toward the center of the pool before streaming upward. Great shot.

Not the most amazing photo I've seen from you, but it is different and interesting. Kind makes the mind bend a bit.

Have a blast in Patagonia!

Still haven't quite figured out what I'm looking at (no time to blog read, either), but I like the shapes and textures plenty. Nice light too.

I really like this shot. The slow shutter speed gives it a very supernatural feel.

Very different. Interesting. To me, not a fav or yours but I think as a large print this may be wonderful to view.
