I love the feet. I have a half dozen images of this sequence because of the feet. :)

Feedback on how you think the crop affected this image and on anything else would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Really like this Barbara; the setting is wonderful. I'm just waiting for it to jump.
I'd be tempted to remove the stems coming from the bird's back

cheers
Rob

Barbara, this is really nice-- I love the pose, the setting, and the comp you chose. the suggestion to get rid of the blade of grass coming out of the back is good, I think. I think the detail has held up well.

Nice shot Barbara, well exposed and a good look at those marvelous feet. The composition works for me - the Coot is well placed and you get a good sense of habitat. I agree with Rob that cloning out the stems protruding from the back would help - well done.

Super sharp with near perfect exposure which is tough to do on a Coot. I think the image needs a slight clockwise rotation to straighten the water out.

Barbra, I love it. This composition really sets shows the enviornment (which I really like in images). I also like the feet. I will now start trying to capture a shot of theses guys.

Barbra, I forgot to mention that the exposure is great in that the whited beak is not burnt. Again, great job.

The setting is lovely and your exposure top-notch. I'd be tempted to remove the said grass stems, too.

Well done Barbara, I can go either way on the grass stem coming out of the back. Great detail in the coots plumage and face. Thanks for sharing.

Barbara,

You handled the exposure very nicely and coots are a challenge to expose and not blow out the whites on the bill. Great pose and implied action (after the shot of course). Lovely details, colors, view of the red eye and feet. I do think this needs just a little CW rotation. The setting is wonderful.

These birds are tough to expose properly and you did a great job here. Agree with the cw rotation and the plants don't bother me. Sharon

Good detail; excellent exposure. I agree on the need to rotate this a little bit.
