Stormy Inverness..... I guess the weather on this beach is what makes me want to return year after year. This was taken in October 2009 about an hour before sunset.

Thanks for looking and for any comments or critiques.

Beautifully done, Eva! It really conveys the force of the wind and what is driving it. Great clouds. :toast:

Those are nice clouds and I like the way you picked up a bit of the reflection on the beach. This looks like a typical spring evening around here. This would also be good in a vertical with some blue space above the clouds. The horizon tilts a bit, or is that an illusion? Anyway the right side looks higher to me.

Have you thought about this one as a b&w conversion. I like the muted colors fine but this could be striking in bw. The clouds are obviously the focal point but I also like the foamy water in lrc. My only suggestion is to push the white point a bit on the water to see if you can get a bit more contrast there.

Lovely light on the clouds and squalls. They contrast nicely with (and presumably influence) the surf. The bits of foam in the LRC are a nice addition. Is that an airplane directly above the island?

Sweet--great contrast between the storm clouds and stormy sea! I like this as is, but i could see a vertical working well too, cause then you could eleiminate some of the sea foam (sorry, just not a big fan of beach foam... )
