Kings Canyon/Australia

This image is taken at Watarrka National Park in Australia (Kings Canyon)
I was fascinated by those rocks, its colors and structures.
The lighting conditions weren't really the best........it was a midday shot in harsh light but I wanted to give it a try.
I would like to know what you think of this.

Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm
1/13 sec, f13, iso 100

Thanks for any comments and thoughts.

Some nice lines here. Not sure if I like them leading me out of the frame.

I think the colors and textures work very well (and mid-day light brings out the colors). I'd crop a bit from the left, because my eyes follow the curve into the distance and then want to keep going. I think this would emphasize the textures even more.

I agree with the slight crop Bill, but really like the colors captured here.

Really cool place - my eye would like to see more of the curving line at the left. I think with some better light you could get some cool stuff there.

It would be easy to imagine these wild rock formations coming to life. The colors and forms here are wonderful.

I enjoy the great lines in this. I don't know that I have ever seen a photo from here before.

Bill, a very appealing composition of lines and shapes! Maybe a less harsh light would result in a more abstract look, which would be interesting too.

Bill, You have some wonderful lines, shapes and texture here. The large view really shows that off. I really like the color you got here. Would be fun trying this in different light conditions too.
