Glowing falls

This is the same waterfall, on Jonathan run in Ohiopyle SP, as in my last post but with a totally basic composition. I decided to post it because I am rather fond of the light on the falls but wanted some second opinions, and also just how much others consider the blurred hemlock branches are a bother or distraction from the whole. There wasn't much I could do about them anyway, except just keeping them above the falls, as they were constantly dancing with the 'waterfall wind' whipped up by the roaring flow.

C&C welcome

I don't think the branches detract too much from this image. It is lovely and the light on the falls is great. I'm not sure about the branch in the fg, I'm torn between liking it's structual element and finding it distracting. I will have to come back to this one. But the way you handled the light on the falls themselves makes it more than worth a second visit. Nicely done

Yes, I knew this was the same location as soon as I saw it. I love the way the water looks in this one with that light. I would be fond of it too! The blurred hemlock don't bother me much either. The way you placed them out of the falls really helped with that. Always seem to have that wind around the falls and we just have to deal with it  .I think I could do without the foreground branch, but what do you do. :toast:

I also like the light on the falls, which you did a good job of controlling. The blurred branches aren't very noticeable in this web presentation, but might be more of an issue in a larger print. I think the FG branches are a little disrupting, since they cut across the scene rather than frame it. Getting back to the falls, the light is great and the shutter speed you used looks good.

Well done Robert. The control of light, POF/DOF, and shutter speed seem spot on to me. I'm not one for the branch in the FG, but not a deal breaker. Well done.
