Open Land

Beautiful and open land near Hail town, north of Saudi Arabia. I took this last spring, this place was so serene, so clean, so simple, yet it bath my soul of months of city complicated life, it was only me, my beloved Range Rover, and couple of small birds...singing from time to time...greeting me and celebrating the light rain that fell last night which still can be seen on the wet sand, little small clouds were moving so quietly going to the Acacias toward the far horizon. Oh, if I can go there again, if only to take that unforgettable breath. One day I must leave the closed city, to the open land...meet the birds..see the sky, and walk on the soft sand.

A lovely image Mohsen. The light blue sky and tawny grasses make for a wonderful combination and the distant hills separating them combine for a simple but very effective composition. And your description of the scene is quite moving.

I always like the different elements of the desert you show us, Mohsen. The contrasts between the warm colors in the plants and earth and the blue sky make for a nice dynamic image.
