Country Barn

Today was just one of those gloomy, rainy days but I packed up my gear and headed out any way. On my travels along our back roads I came upon this barn and thought it had a lot of character.

I am new to the products from Topaz Labs and have just begun to work with Topaz Adjust, which is what I used to process this image. It brought out the character of the barn and the foreground field. I will do some more work with this product to see what else it offers.

So, even for a gloomy day, it was still a good day. Your comments are always appreciated. Camera is a Nikon D70 on tripod.

I love Topaz Adjust Adjust and I really love what you have done to this image using it. It has an HDR quality to it, not the overdone type but the type I really enjoy :toast:

Thanks for everyone's comments. This was my first attempt at using Topaz Adjust and I like what it's done as well. I applied one of the Topaz Adjust presets to an image of childrens' bicycles and it really made the colors "pop" without going over the top. I'll be using this again, I'm sure. Now, it's a beautiful sunny day today so I'm off to see what I can find. I'm really getting into antique and junkyard cars. Thanks again to everyone who views and comments on my images. I appreciate it very much.

I'm not much into photo art but this caught my attention.
I very much like the roof on this barn. Combined with the wood effect makes this barn look reeeaallyy dilapidated.
Would perhaps have like more of the barn's right portion to have more of a boundary around it.
Nice work.

Thanks everyone for viewing this image and your comments. I appreciate it very much. I have been working with Topaz Adjust on a number of other images and I'm very happy with how it enhances the images. Some days Mother Nature is just not on my side, too sunny or too shady. It does not bother me to use these products to help out Mother Nature once in awhile. Hope you will try them on your images. Thanks again for viewing and your comments.
