One from this past summer. Late in breeding season so he is a bit ragged. All C&C appreciated.

Love the BG habitat and upright pose. I would crop some off the left to get the bird out of center.

I seem to be having trouble getting my images to look sharp when posting. I follow the same workflow, yet sometimes they come out sharp and sometimes not, even though they look sharp before I post. This post is an example as it is much sharper when I am looking at it on my computer. Another thing I don't understand is why it looks so much sharper when I have posted it on another site. I hope this is not out of line but here is a link to the other posting,

It must be somthing I am doing wrong and would appreciate any help. Thx.

That's such a cool background to go with this specific bird. With the dark and orange spots mixed among the light green in the background, it almost mimics the plumage of the towhee. Very cool.

I agree, I'd crop some from the left so it's not so centered.

The saturation definitely looks higher on your site than the one posted here. I'm rather ignorant about such things though, in terms of why that might be...

For what it's worth...on my monitor, I like the NPN version better, as on my monitor, the saturation looks a little too strong on the version on your site.

Love the comp with the branch on the diagonal, the leaves and berries. What a bright red eye has the bird! Great shot full of detail on the subject, nice separation between subject and bg and just full of complementary colors throughout.

Love the diaganol perch. The towhee is right smack dab in the center of the picture and a better composition is to get the bird off center. The berries are a nice touch

Wonderfully complementary background that doesn't hide the bird. I agree with Alan's suggestion about getting the bird out of the middle of the frame. I think the bird, in the larger version, is acceptable sharp. It's not tack-sharp, but without seeing the original I can't say if it is a problem with the original or a problem in post-processing. Or even a JPEG artifact from lossy compression.

Like the comp with the diagonal perch, man that red eye pops Mark!
I have one or two that I see almost daily, but never can get em' off the ground.
Techs look good, great BG too..I have to jump on the train, a bit off the left would be better.
Well done & have a great weekend :wavey:
