I found this when looking through some older files for something else. Taken at Green Cay near Boca.

Canon 40D, 100-400 1/200th @ F11. About a 25% crop.

amazing bird and a great capture of it. I love birds behaving in their habitat and you have provided me with a great display of this. Thank you.

Outstanding and unusual image of a Gallinule. I have seen many Purple Gallinules, but they were always feeding on lily pads or on the water at the edge of the marsh. Great image.

What a dynamic pose. Certainly a different type of shot for this species.

Wow, what a shot, great lighting, it really brings out the dynamic colors. I've gotta get over to green cay one of these days.

Wonderful natural history and vivid colours. Can you include all the flower-head at mid left?

Very dynamic. This is great as is, but feels a little tight in the frame. The colors are beautiful. Any chance that you could back off a bit and include the rest of the plant on the left? :toast:

Good timing to get this and a very colorful bird, I do like Charlie's suggestion on the crop if you have the room, well done.

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately the original was shot as a vertical. I'm edge to edge across the frame. The extra room is top and bottom.
