One more picture of the stream in Tatra Mountains. This one was made in famous Koscieliska Valley. The colors are true - I did not any adjustments in PS (except cropping and little sharpening).

Nikon D200 with Nikkor 60 Macro lens, f8, ss 1/15, ISO 100, tripod.

Any C/C are welcome!

I'm jealous. I've tried numerous times to get a close up of moving water and never come close to an image like this.

Great study of texture and smoothness Igor.

I like the presentation and ss, but to be totally honest the subject doesnt really grab me--there's nothing to really focus on that makes it stand out. Part of that is just the fact that ive seen 100s of river shots like this, so im a bit jaded and need to be surprised

Igor,

This is yet another fine example of what can be captured under direct and often unflattering broad daylight. I very much like the water action and I think it captures accurately what a little stream like this looks like - as if I were standing above it.

My only suggestion would be too clone out the white "stuff" on top of the exposed rock (looks like bird droppings) and also tone down the specular highlights on the same rock. There are some clipped whites throughout, but small and to be expected. I think this is quite refreshing and again an example of what one can do when other photogs are having lunch.

Interesting that you shot this with a macro. I shoot a lot of water shots and usually use my zoom lens (often maxed out) for the close-up capture. I think it gives me a little more dof but I'm pretty new to all this and you've captured a lovely image here.
