The blues and yellows make a stunning combination against the black background. I like the curves of the petals and the abstractness of this picture. Great job! Wish my iris were blooming instead of more snow falling.

Bill, IMO, the Iris is beautiful but in this image, that black blob (for lack of a better word  ) on the left detracts mightily from the flower. Is it the underside of the petal?

Cheers,

Carol

Carol: Not sure what you're seeing but all the black on the left is BG. From this perspective you're seeing the underside of the FG petal and the front of the BG petal. . . Bill

This is just plain spectacular Bill. An exceptional image even by your standards for my tastes. Gorgeous.

Irises are coming!
Spring is such a joyous time..
The lines, opposing curves, and color contrasts are beautiful here.
I think I'd like to see one area in sharp focus, where my eye can linger.

I just can't find a good perspective on irises..will keep trying.

Great comp. Very graceful. I think I might prefer a little more of the flower to be sharper, at least that was my first impression, but I don't know for sure.

You've sure been having fun with the Iris, Bill. This is such a nice intimate look, and well titled, as it does describe that graceful dance. I'm fussing over the bit of blue in the ulc and think I would nip it just a smidge to make it look more like it belongs to the arching petal.

Certainly feels like a dance Bill. I love the interplay of the petals. An extremely successful shot.

Gorgeous, Bill ! The title says it all - a lovely dance of iris petals, so beautifully choreographed in this image. I have looked at this already several times and keep wanting to come back ! ( do I need to I get a life !!?? - smile ).

Lovely flowing curves and colors Bill! I hope you get some mileage out of those Irises because they're beautiful subjects, and you certainly do them justice!
