Cheetah cub and mum

Here is one of the six Cheetah cubs with mum having a bit of a "wash up" together. They had recently eaten and mum at least was hoping to settle down for an after dinner rest.

Some of the other cubs were still full of energy running around, chasing each other.

I got a picture of all six cubs in a line, waiting for mum to "finish preparing the breakfast". That picture can be seen HERE for those interested.

I suspect this image will be added to the group of images that I use as my website banner as the crop lends itself to such.

C&C welcome.

Canon 1DMk4, 500mm, f5, ISO400.

Cheers

Austin

A very charming capture Austin, I like the pano crop. The photo of the six cubs is also a very cute shot!

Hi Austin,

This is nicely composed and having both tongues out at the same time is a nice bonus! I like the pano crop but to me it seems a bit tight on top.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

hello Austin, first what i like: the pano cut, the feeling it gives and above all the sensation of tiredness in the mum expression; then my nits: on my screen the overall image looks too much desaturated, I mean I would add a bit of saturation for yellow channel selectively on the two cats. Nothing else, obviously it could be my screen. If it was mine I would be tempted to add some (very few) on top.

Cheers, Luca

I like the pano showing the cheetah spread out and good timing to get both with their tongues sticking out. No wonder she is trying to rest with 6 cubs around. Well done.
