Figured I'd give you a break from my night images! Taken this past december in Canyonlands NP. One exposure using the Singh Ray reverse grad ND filter to make the FG more prominant.

I really like this... Wonderful lighting, I love the contrast along the rim of the canyon. The lower left corner seems a little empty to me.

I love the canyon, looks great--but to be honest i dont care for the sky appearance here--it reminds me of what happens when you spill water on a watercolor painting, kind of messy. Just my take. :wavey:

The foreground valley is classic but the sky isn't doing much for the scene IMO. Exposure balance between the two seems off and the sky suffers from maybe some blur/noise reduction and odd color.

Hey All,
Thanks! Color was weird but true to what was there.....forgot to mention .6 exposure with fast moving clouds.

Super shot Roman. The warm color of the FG and great detail is wonderful. I like the clouds OK, but would rather them be non-moving (just my personal preference). I love the slight pinkish color in the clouds.

This is a great shot. It would be interesting to see 2/3rds of the sky cropped out and the left side as well, putting the horizon line through the middle of the image and focusing on the very interesting right 2/3rds of the image. It's a really good photo however you crop it.

Roman, I should have elaborated that the blur I'm seeing in the sky is not cloud motion, but rather some sort of noise reduction or similar effect. You can see in the large photo where this has clipped an edge of the mesa in the background but even in the small version it does not look like cloud motion to the trained eye. I'd reprocess it with that in mind and I think you'll have more sky appeal.
