D3 ISO 400. 300/2.8 with 2x tc. f5.6 1/800s. About 60% FF. Handheld. Natural Light.

I know he's just a mutt, but I liked the black, white and red and he's pretty in a "mother's love" sort of way. That's water in the background.

Whoa Angela. Very unique image. Extremely sharp with great eye detail and a pleasing background. He's got a little hair doo going on up top as well. I like it. Thanks for sharing this Angela.

This is a beautiful image of a rather ugly bird. The eye is sharp, perfect, IMO and really draws you in. Good detail throughout. Very nicely done

A mutt perhaps but you've presented it well Angela. Exposure looks good and I like the detail in the larger version. Comp works well for me too.

beautifully hideous, Angela! great details, and nice bg. the comp doesn't quite work for me, as the bird feels a little off balance--maybe a little more on the bottom of the frame would help?
