Prayer Plant Underside

Thanks for all the comments on the last image. Always appreciated and helpful as well.
Here's the underside of the same leaf. More aggressive processing applied for a graphic look that I often prefer for images with less intricate details. I have yet to see a more consistantly appealing bokeh (to me at least) than a nice green lawn.
Thanks for looking. Check out the larger version if so inclined.

150 Macro w/cp
f/14 @ 0.80 sec
ISO 200

I noticed slight halo's in both versions after posting that I cannot see in the files on my pc. That's OK, they're staying up.

Bruce:
There is so much to explore in just one leaf. The vein pattern and ribs are nicely shown by the soft shadow. Bokeh is nice. Well done.

Very nice indeed, Bruce ! The colour combination is perfect, and I think you've controlled the highlights and shadows beautifully to model the leaf to perfection.

Bruce, I really like the processing you done on this one. These plants have such a graphical quality to them and the colours are fantastic. For my tastes, your original abstract of the prayer plant and a similar one using this underside of the leaf and processing would make a stellar dyptych.

I like the pattern again Bruce and also the color palette. The edge of the leaf looks a little blue to me in places (artifact) but it may just be the bg.

Bruce: Obviously not as interesting as the other side but I still like the color palette here. I also like the proportion of leaf in the frame. I might be tempted to darken the green BG a touch but this does work for me as is. Nice work on this subject.>=))>

It's interesting reading the comments on the 3 prayer plant images. I really didn't expect the abstract to get so much attention.
I posted the second to give those who were'nt familiar with the plant a full perspective and the third, the backside of the leaf I saved for last because I think it's the most interesting of the three and it's got the least comments, go figure. I don't know, it's the texture and the slight shadows at the ribs that make me want to take a longer look.
It just shows how subjective this all is.
Thanks for all the comments. Everyone have a great weekend.
The sun is shining in Seattle and it's February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
