North Peak Sunrise

I just had a brand new Tango Drum Scan made of this image in preparation for outputting a 30x40" print. Image was originally shot many moons ago on Fuji Velvia & a Nikon n8008s or n90s w/ 2 stop GND filter.

Thanks for looking. All comments are most welcomed and appreciated.

Gorgeous! You have some fine light on the peak and the smattering of snow throughout the scene adds a lot of appeal. Should make a very fine print. I certainly don't see much of anything to critique, though I suppose the reflection could be just a slight bit darker.

Oh my, that is stunning! I'd love to shoot a scene like this. Only thing I can think of is this. I find my eye wanting the foreground to lead me in from the left instead of the right. Is it possible you could flip/invert- whatever, just for me? :jump:

The lack of perfect symmetry just makes the difference! There is a lot of tension in the composition. Needless to speak about the stunning colors and fine processing.

Very beautiful scene, especially with snow still on the ground. It looks like it needs some ccw rotation based on the distant shoreline on the left side, and where the peaks are compared to where their reflections are.

Lovely reflection, color and perspective. Every time I am about to sell-off my film cameras, something like this shows up and I promise myself that I'll shoot some more film. This is a lovely photo, and you, Mr. Crabbe, are one of the reasons why I still have a collection of film cameras. Thanks :toast:

I think this shold make an outstanding large print. My only idea might have been to crop off the largest dark area on the right boarder. My eye goes to it, where the action is center stage. Colors, processing, look really good - an iconic mountainscape. :toast:

Gary,

Simply gorgeous! Very Rowell-esque if you ask me; at least that's who came to mind when I first saw this. Beautiful light, sky, everything is picture perfect.

Wonderful light, the only suggestion I have is to dodge that far left ridge so that it more closely matches its reflection. :toast:

Wow, that is some excellent light. I love the composition and everything about this. I can see brightening the ULHC a tiny bit, but that is a minor nit. I think this would be stunning as a big print, I love mountain scenes like this.
