Triumphant Tulips

These emerging tulips looked like jewels on the barren white snow. Shooting into the snow, I added +1.3 exp comp. Shot at 48mm using 17-55mm. F/22, 1/25 sec, ISO 200, always use a tripod, Nikon D300. Comments appreciated.

Lovely shot, Spring is starting to win and winter is losing it's hold in your area!

Spring is victorious! Their color is even more wonderful against that snow. Beautiful shot, Albert!

Very cool shot Albert. The tiny stumps and dead leaf are a slight distraction but other than that I really like the colors and exposure is dead on. :toast:

Albert:
The colors really jump out of from the white snow. Terrific effect. Not keen about the 3 short stumps though.

Eccentric, fascinating composition, Albert, with the flowers standing out beautifully from the ground ! A touch of gaiety to this and a strange spikiness.

Albert: I love the bright daubs of color against the snow. I think I would make those three stems/twigs go away. >=))>

Here is my repost as suggested. Frankly I don't think it helps the image.
Cheers!

Albert,

I think I do prefer it without the three stubs. Compositionally it does seem cleaner to me. It's no big deal though. There may be something about those that you like that Bill and I are missing. Go with the one you like.
