David,

This is a terrific shot with great detail. I love the water splashing and the extreme wing extension. The only nit is I would like to see more room on the outside of the bird. It looks a bit cramped.

Great capture. This really shows the size of the wings in relation to the body. I at first agreed that some canvas should be added to the sides, but now I do like the focus of the bird coming straight at you this composition creates.

Nice action capture David, a little tight on top but still a nice image. I like the splashing water, the wings up pose, and the just out of the water moment you captured. Nice shot!

Whoa, very exciting image. I like the composition as is but the upper wing is clipped just slightly, or so it seems. It is possible that there is something dark merging with the tip of the wing at the edge of the frame, might just clone out the dark round spot. I rarely use spot metering, preferring matrix and then compensate as experience tells me. Spot is there for a reason though, if it's working for you that's what counts.

Hi David: Great action shot. Love the water drops from the splash and the intense look of the Osprey. Sure wish for a little more room. If this is full frame, I'd be tempted to add canvas. Still a very nice image. :toast:

So cool! Love the head-on look at the bird, and the implied action with all the water droplets. I too would prefer a tad more room around him if you have it.

Very dramatic action and the drops of water. Great timing!

Great work. That larger image reveals a lot of detail in the face, the open beak and eye contact. Must have been exhilarating.

A great capture.
I'd have eased up on the cropping a bit myself though, it looks a bit cramped.
Well captured.
