In the floodplains of the March, a river at the Austrian-Slovakian border; after a period of high water this winter, frost returned and this way offered a unique pattern of ice formations between the trunks.

Interesting shot, Peter- i like it! I like the right half of the shot even more, it seems more balanced than the shot as a whole.

Ilike this a lot, Peter. The dark trunk shadows really set this off giving a nice sense of depth.

Fits the theme very well as I've never seen something like this before.
Good shot Peter!

I love the patterns and I might add very good exposure.

This is a fantastic image Peter, I just love it. The ice and water really make it and the image, to me anyway, conveys the cold winter just starting to turn to spring. Maybe I just am hopeful that spring is coming but I really like it. Do you also do a pano of the same site? That would be interesting. :toast:
