Shot this a few weeks ago, staged on the dining room table.
I wanted this to be a little softer presentation than it was shot, so I added a little Gaussian blur during PP to soften some of the edges. I tried to layer it in so the center was still a little sharp. Wondering if the effect works?

Pentax K-7, f/8, 1.6sec, ISO-100; Tamron 90mm macro.

Nice position and angle of the rose. The soft focus works well here, giving the image a romantic mood. A pleasure to view. Well done!

This is a superb image imo. You did a great job on the reds, which ain't that easy. I really like your dof and pof choices. And just in time for Valentine's Day! :biggrin: Gorgeous image!

This is gorgeous! The gaussian blur and layering gives this a selective Orton effect which is very nice. Great POV as well. :toast:
