Barbara:
An unusual looking water lily. They are usually wide opened at midday but this one is still partially closed. The light is really nice and warm. Like the peeking into the center POV. No suggestions.

This is lovely, Barbara ! There's a real sense of mystery about this unopened bud looming out of the dark background. The tones and textures are beautifully rendered.

For my tastes this is extremely well done Barbara. I like your composition a lot, particularly the use of the negative space. The light and textures also add a lot to the appeal of the image.

I love the perspective here - quite unusual. Nicely composed, but just a tad on the flat side. I might adjust levels or curves a bit to make it "pop" more.

Barbara: The peek inside afforded by the larger image makes this shot for me. This much negative space sometimes bothers me but this works great for me as is. Very well done. >=))>

Beautiful simplicity, Barbara. Your work has improved so much over the past few months. Nice job.

The larger image looks a little soft, and that could be my imagination.

Cheers,

Carol

This is a fascinating image. I've never seen a water lily in this state before. I'd be tempted to go with a square crop and bulls eye composition for this shot.
