This is a Wood Bison in British Columbia. I have seen lots of Bison in my life, but this is the first time I had seen a Woods Bison. Thank you for your comments.

Good catch on the dust bath action. I like the multiple dandelion seed heads! He feels a wee bit close to the bottom of the frame, for my tastes. I think the resulting focus for this action shot is surprisingly good for 1/180, although upon close examination (more closely than most non-photo folk would look) his facial detail is a little soft. I would have opted to open up for more speed. Oh, and I like the light angle, Richard, and the way it backlights the little patches of old winter coat clinging to his flank!
