When I took this I thought/hoped that the cocked angle would add more drama. The image was kept anchored with the pilings on the left and I was pleased with the energy that it conveys.

Very cool, Dan--nice feeling of veritgo! I like the splash too, good exposure, i don't have to lecture you about 'dandelion' waves (one of my pet peeves with wave shots...) :smile:

Great action :toast: I like the black border...I often find that a black frame will enhance a BW especially one with more of a pano crop. Although this is not a pano photo, the subject is. The thick black on the sides really draw your eye into the action and down the dock.

Dan, congrats on WP for this image. The angle works very well and adds an intense feel to the image. You can almost hear the crashing of the waves. Thanks for sharing your images.
