Shot a couple of weeks ago in Southern California. Lots of Harriers here along with 4-5 males which I will post as well. It's been really fun shooting again these last 4-6 weeks. Please see larger version. Thanks for looking.
I corrected the title (Harrier, not Herrier...oops) thanks to input from Sandy. Spelling never was my strong suit.

David,

Striking flight shot. Nice details on the bird with good eye contact. Nice shadow of the head inside the left wing. Nice BG. I like it! :toast:

Awesome! That background makes a perfect setting and she really stands out against it. Super sharp and catchlight in the eye - wow! My only nit is the spelling.

We've had a few of these over the last few weeks and this one is the equal of any of them. Great eye contact, background and nice and sharp.

cheers

The setting for your harrier is great David, love the combination of vegetation and sky. I also love the eye contact you got and the wings position. Colors look warm & natural. In the larger version I don't think the eye is quite as sharp as it could be, perhaps a small amount of selective sharpening there of the eye and facial disc? A minor issue.

Excellent! I am wondering if this is a crop, or full-frame? No nits from me!

Mike,
I took a little bit off the top and the back sides. I had no more room at the bottom so to balance out the composition I cropped about 20%.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Mia, I think you are correct. I will give the face some elective sharpening. Thank You.
