Sailing ship?

Frost on the window pane, early February in Minnesota, USA. Olympus e620, 35mm macro, ISO 100, f5, 1/400s. Distant background (top 3/4) is a row of conifers. Bottom 1/4 is foreground snow.

I shot many of these, but didn't see the "ship" until processing.

Lovely shot. The warm background colors add a lot. My eyes do spend more time that I'd like looking at the busy area in the lower right corner, but congratulations are still in order. I've tried shots like this numerous times without anything nearly this good.

Now that you mention it, I could see it that way (busy lower right). But I thought it looked kind of like sea foam/wave breaking.

Very nice comp Anne with wonderful fractal shapes. I do see the ship BTW and it looks like it is heading into a big wave. Light wise, I would bring up the highlights in the frost areas a bit to showcase the ship. I would experiment with exposure, levels, and curves but that is just my personal preference.

It totally looks like a ship about to be swallowed by a large wave! Beautiful ice abstract!
