Pink-eared Duck photographed in the Riverina, New South Wales.

Canon 7D, EF500 f/4, skimmer+mongoose+kwik camo, ISO 400, 1/2000, f/8, ec -2/3. Removed the tail of passing grebe at lower right, corrected tilt and added canvas to sliver in lower left. Slight crop for composition from top and left.

Simon, what a great low look at this awesome duck. I feel like I am swimming right next to it. Love the sharpness and detail in the bird, and the great colors in the water and the BG. I might be able to see where you removed the grebe tail in the lower right as the water does look different there, but that may just be the way it was. I would have to see the before to tell for sure. Overall, great shot of this bird.

Simon,

I liked your last Pink-eared Duck post a lot and I like this one equally as much, both the poses are very interesting & appealing to me. Lovely sharpness, details and low angle!

Best so far Simon - great low angle, detail and i like the slightly angled approach. Bloody good effort to get these so close.

cheers

Nice angle and wonderful colors - I like this one even better than the last!
That little black blob below the beak doesn't add anything
Excellent!

Simon,
I love this duck. This is as good as your last one a couple days ago. Very nice low angle to the water, great positioning in the frame, very sharp with a little glint in the eye and some nice pink plumage behind the eye. The water color backdrop is icing on the cake. I just love it Simon.

I like this one better than the last, though I would rework the area you cloned. Beautiful. Sharon

A great capture, love the low viewpoint you've used here.
A vote from the "Old South Wales"
