Monet's Pond

Waterlilies in a rippling pond.
No processing other than the usual levels, curves, sats and NR.

I liked the impressionist feel to this.

The top 6 lilies are floating on the water; the lower ones are 4-6 inches below the water.

Quite entrancing, Sandy ! The title is so apt - there is a very abstract feel to this, yet it is also all so watery and beautifully illuminated.

Delightful, Sandy. Love the impressionistic mood...color palette, lighting.

I love this one. The water is the perfect background for the lily pads and the colors are great

Great eye Sandy, my only suggestion might be a crop from the top and right to give more prominence to the waterlilies, but I like it as is too.

Love the colors and the fact that there is some rippling on the surface of the water. I kind of agree with Scott's crop suggestion. Nice work!

Sandy;
Love this. I remember seeing one you posted awhile ago thinking how neat this is. Good to see you reproduce this effect again. :toast:

The amazing this about this is how the ripples render it having the two dimensional quality of an impressionistic painting. Like I am looking at it as a canvas hanging on a wall. Superb imgae, Sandy!

I was missing an image so beautiful. I really love all here: the pastel colors, of corse, but also the depth, a tridimentional feeling, the emotion of the flickering background. Splendid, Sandy!
Cheers.
