Scent Trail

A coyote follows the path of the Lamar River in Yellowstone. It had just arrived on the scene with its buddy, and the pair set out investigating the waterway, where some otters had been hanging out catching fish. This led to the wild otter/coyote showdown I posted previously.

I'm heading back to the park tomorrow, so hopefully I'll luck into some more winter wildlife.

I like those eyes: they give me the feeling of being able to go deeply into you. I also like the moving leg.

I too love those eyes. Not sure what that coyote thinks of you. Nicely isolated in the white environment too. Lovely.

Hi Max,

I think I like this one a lot. I only say "think" because it's a little hard to assess sharpness and detail at this size. Exposure is excellent, eyes and lowered head are great, like the raised paw, and those colours really pop nicely against the white snow.

Cheers...
