After a period of winter hibernation I managed get the motivation to get out last week and take some pictures.

I have started a Barn Owl project that’s on going at the moment and looks promising so hopefully will be posting some pictures later on.

So heres a shot of a Reed Bunting not the most exciting subject but I liked the light and background .

This winter has been all about the light (or lack of it) for me, and you've managed to make the most of it here Ian :toast:

A very sweet setting for this little beauty ..and love the monochromatic effect here ..could the frame have been cropped a bit tighter, which would reduce the space on top ..thats personal though..well done

Like the soft browns and golds. Might remove a touch of RHS though.

Works very nicely indeed. Good shadow detail and the touch of frost is a bonus. I'd also lose a little from the right and possibly top.

Well captured Ian
The light here in Wales hasn't been that good this Winter either, all over the Christmas break it was dull but hopefully it will improve soon.
Well done.

Composition is fine for me Ian and I wouldn't crop it at all. The more I look at this the more I like it. The oof background is just right and the positioning of the bird is spot on. The dusting of frost also tells it's own story. Nice one.
