Another shot from Utah. Not a very popular species here on NPN. However, I like them. I like the bird's position and the BG in this shot. Please view the larger version for max details. Thanks so much.

Fine shot of a good looking bird - nice pose, good catchlight and black and white balance handled very well.

I like the placement in the frame and your POV is great Ron.
Nicely OOF BG that gives a strong sense of habitat, and well exposed with some great detail/DOF too:toast:

I'm glad you posted this Canada Goose Ron, I find the species to be very beautiful and well done shots of them are very appealing to me. Love the background you have here, the pose of the goose, eye contact, details & sharpness. I also enjoy the comp you have presented.

That pose is terrific. Nice exposure on those hard blacks and whites. Very good framing too. I like Canada goose. Can't hold it against them that they're common.

Very nice flight shot. I love to watch geese when they set their wings for a landing.

I always appreciate a well done flight shot, they are just not easy to do no matter what the bird, the larger version looks good to me, well done.

Hi Ron. I am not an avian specialist, but to me this flight shot looks perfect. The details are superb, and the exposure and composition are perfect. Amazing to me that this was done hand held. Great shot of a handsome bird.
