William,

You caught a great landing pose with the wings up and the tips curled, love the extended talons and how the eagle is so intent on looking where it is going. For my tastes the comp is a bit tight, I would allow more room at the bottom of the frame for the eagle to move "virtually" into and more space on the right for the same reason.

The brightest snow in the background is getting close to being blown, you could resolve that by selecting just the background and reducing the exposure there slightly. Be very careful masking or that could look artificial.

The file size here is only 53.7 which indicates this image has been over compressed, over compression causes a loss of detail and in some cases sharpness. When saving your files for the 720 pixel version trying keeping the file size just below 300kb and more detail will show if it exists. The bird here isn't as sharp as it could be so I would mask just the bird and give it a touch more sharpening. I think this image has more potential than what has been presented.

Edit, forgot to add this: The visual impact of an image is important but IQ is equally important. It is easy to get excited about the species presented; for instance your eagle, or a great pose and action, I'm not in the habit of critiquing the species contained in the image since this is a critique forum I also focus on the techs & IQ with my critiques.

William,
the quality could be a little better as far as sharpness but still a great capture. :toast:

Interesting landing pose William. I fully agree with all of Mia's points so won't belabor them.

I too agree with Mia's critique William. One big thing is to not compress the file any more than you have to for posting. If you need help getting your images ready for posting regarding reducing their size, just let me know. Cheers.
