Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/20 @ f22

Going to get away from the florascapes for a while and get back to flowers. I posted some paper whites from the Mercer Arboretum a couple of weeks ago. These are our own and the first to bloom this year. Spring can't be far. All comments welcome. >=))>

Superb composition Bill. Makes me think of butterflies as much as flowers. Love the energy conveyed in this comp. Beautiful work.

I like the interplay of white petals and the yellow....hide and seek. It may just be my monitor but this looks a little flat, perhaps a slight boost in contrast...?

Bill:
These blooms seem to be clamouring to get to the front to have their photo taken. They are gorgeous.

There are a lot these on sales at at the flower markets here in HK at present as these are favorite flowers for Chinese New Year which is on next Thursday.

It, too, reminds me of butterflies twitting in the air. Nice diffused lighting as well.

Its hard to image spring with at least three feet of snow on the ground and mounds reaching to the heavens... oh, and another foot expected on Wednesday. But it sure is nice seeing these paperwhites. Nice presentation too.

You always hurt me bad when you post your flowers blooming so soon! They are saying that by Tuesday night into Wednesday, we will see the coldest weather we have seen in decades here in Denver. Beautiful, happy riot of flowers.

Hey Bill, snow on the ground here, so this is a nice cheery image to view (of course I don't mind the snow as I get to go skiing). I like how you have filled the frame; nice job on the whites.

Now you are just making me jealous Bill! Wow! Blooms already huh? Nicely handled comp. I do wish that the BG was a bit brighter. I think a high key look with a white BG would work very well.
