Manistique Light

This may have been one of the best sunsets I saw all summer. This lighthouse is on the south shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan along Lake Michigan. Did some levels adjustment to darken the silhouette of the lighthouse.

Nikon D700, 24-70 mm, F16, .5 sec.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. The light on the lighthouse was not photoshoped in.

Tom, That is a beautiful sunset. The clouds above most of the orange color look great too. Perfect comp with the silhouetted lighthouse and rocks. Catching the light makes for a nice extra touch too. I have been to Manistique a couple of times, but never saw a sky this good. Nice work, Tom.

I am really enjoying the rich color Tom. I especially like that you caught the lighthouse light and its silhouette..

Killer sunset! The light on the water is great too. It might be an illusion, but it looks like it could use a slight CCW rotation, based on the water horizon. If so, its an easy fix. Love the color and dramatic sky. :toast:
