Title: Red Grouse - (Lagopus lagopus)

One 'game bird' that seems have survived the shooting season. Personally I would liked to have had a fraction more to the RHS, but...

Hello Stephen.

Super potrait and the detail is excellent, as is the colours in the background working very nicely with the bird.

A superbly detailed close up Steve. I really like the 'peering over the bush' effect and, as has been stated, the background is really complimentary.

An excellent close-up portrait. The composition works perfectly for me just the way it is.

Thanks guys. :wavey:

Patience, a bit of luck Oscar and where I go you can get very close, however the main point is, to avoid heavy cropping if you want good detail.

Hi Steve,

I am glad it survived the shooting season and this has your usual high quality and sharpness stamp on the image.

Personally I am happy with the comp ref your RHS observation as the head is on a third.

Cheers
