Roaring furnace

From a flickering candle to a roaring furnace. Hope this will warm up some of you who are still in the grips of the cold weather.

This is a close-up of the lady purse flower (Calceolaria).

D90 105mm+ET tripod, cable release, F32 13sec CPL at dusk. Flower illuminated with nokia phone flashlight from above over the red puffed up petal to light up the inside of flower like a lantern.

Great shot and very fitting title! I really like the straight on frame-filling comp.

Gary,

I like the striking colors of course but given the saturation and richness, you still managed excellent detail. Very well seen, composed and presented. Outstanding photography.

Gary: I'm looking for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to pop up with the angel of the Lord beside them. Great title, great concept, great execution. This is indeed creative photography at its best. >=))>
