Obersee

Bavarian Alps is great place for anyone who is interested in making good pictures together with some hiking. Despite crowds of tourists there are places almost without them and this is an example: the Obersee lake in Berchtesgaden region.

What do you think about composition and exposure?

Full frame, no cropped.

Nikon D200 with Nikkor 12-24 @ f11 shutter 1/3 ISO 100

Great scene Igor, and love the perfect reflection together with the very blue sky! It might be me, but it looks like the scene could use some more sharpness (or maybe it's compression I'm not sure). Good stuff! :toast:

That's a great spot. The window view works well and the reflections are wonderful. Scenes that contain man-made objects (like the path on the left here) usually go in the "Man & Nature" gallery - just for future posts. Technically the shot is fine. The left side of the sky up there is a bit too bright and I would darken it down to match the gradient falloff in the reflection. The web sharpness isn't the best - you might want to try my Photoshop Script for web downsizing (see my signature).

Wow, what a gorgeous scene! The composition and exposure are perfect. The image seems a little soft to me. No other nits. Well done. Would love to see you post more images from this area if you have any more.

I think the comp. is really strong. Very classical, very high impact. I think the light and atmospheric clarity is pretty amazing too and makes a big part of the appeal for me. Just a bit too soft - looks blurry.

This is an awsome shot Igor. The still water letting the reflection come through makes this. I think the comp and exp are fine.

That is really nice. Very grand scene. Light balance feels a bit odd, but it's the scene itself that holds my attention.

Put some sharpening here and you are done! :)
I like very much the image, it gives a quite interesting "optical effect", like having three different vertical images put together...there is something really special here!

Awesome scene, great composition. The color and light balance seems a bit odd and some web-sharpening would fix the softness. I notice that you're new to NPN...the FAQ under the HELP menu in Galleries provides some guidance with links that can help with the sharpening. Welcome; more please.

Postcard scene and colours. Nothing to say except it looks damn fine to me.

A bit more sharpness definately...compression issues?

Thank you all for any comments and suggestions! It looks I have to work more with sharpening after compression - I did some tests and the picture is now more sharp and crisp. Thank you one again,

Igor
