The petals of the amaryllis were so perfect! This is my first experience with one and was not disappointed! All C&C welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Anne

Nice lines and very well composed. I like the subtle orange. :toast:

Anne:
This is really to my liking. Lovely curving lines radiating out to the top and right and forming a 'V'. The very top petal redirects the viewer back-down to the center of the image. Nice color with different shades or orange. Well done.

Beautiful image and a particularly strong comp for my tastes Anne. I actually think I'd prefer the image cropped down from the top so that the V ends at the top of the image without the redirecting petal tip. Although that may very well just be my preference. Beautiful work either way.

Hi Ann :wavey: A beautiful image, with great lines and color. Agree with Pat about a crop on the top.

This is a very elegant abstract, Anne, with lovely soft tones and a superb composition. For me the upper R folded petal has to stay because you would otherwise lose the sweep of the main petal - I think it is fine in any case.

Thanks so much, everyone! I'll try the crop and let you know when I repost! I left the top curve in because I liked the light tip pointing back into the frame, but we will see what happens!

Anne: I go back and forth about the upper petal tip. My eye goes there immediately and I'm not sure I want to drift that high in the frame and away from the gentler sweep of the petals coming up from the bottom. All things considered I think I would prefer it cropped away but this certainly works very well for me as is. Nicely seen and captured.>=))>

Great to meet you and your husband at the shindig, Anne!
This is going to make a powerful HUGE print. Great use of lines and color!

My thoughts precisely echo what Bill had to say . . . I kept toying mentally with the crop even before I read the comments, and ended up thinking it was the way to go. Tough call though, and nice shot.
