This image was taken several years back at Canaan Valley State Park in West Virgina. Used Ektachrome in a Canon 35mm with an 80-260mm telephoto lens. An intriguing time spent that summer afternoon..as several does and fawns made themselves imminently accesible!

2 commentsIt's always fun finding these little ones. The image looks technically sound - good exposure and quite sharp (tho' at this size it's kind of tough to fully assess sharpness). From a compositional perspective I find the image a little too "dead-centred" for my taste and I wish there was room left on the bottom of the frame for the legs (or, if they're obscured by the grasses, the "virtual" legs
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
PS: Please don't hesitate to jump in and comment on the images of others - I know the recommended ratio of 5 comments for every image post can be tough to maintain, but many members find that critiquing the images of others does tend to sharpen their own eye and helps their own photography. I know many newer members are a little hesitant to leave comments, but ultimately the success of all the galleries are determined largely by the comments members leave on the images that are posted. If you're unsure or uneasy about commenting/"critiquing" there are several good resources on this website discussing it. Start right here:

and you'll find links to the the image posting guidelines and two articles on critiquing ("The Art of Image Critique" and "More Thoughts on Photo Critique.").
