Another semi-flora if you will. I love looking at the beauty of smaller landscapes (I won't step on Mike Moats' toes by calling this a tiny landscape  ). There's so much to see that it just marvels me. I just wish I was better at capturing them. No gardening took place in this image, but I wish it had. I wish I had rearranged the golden leaf in the ULC.

Please view LARGER version for much better detail.

D2X w/ 70-300 @ 122mm
1.6 sec @ f/22 - MLU and mc-30 remote release
100 ISO
Probably used a polarizer
Tripod
Capture One 4, CS4, TK's magic actions

Thanks for stopping by and looking, and any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Nice light Bill and interesting textures. I also like the variety of colors. To be honest, I don't know about that leaf. I like the color it adds but it seems to break up the diagonal in the comp. If you were thinking about placing it between the grass and the rock running parallel to the rock, I'd agree I think. Would need to see it though. It's a fine image with a lot of interesting things going on as posted.

Bill: The larger version is pure eye candy as far as I'm concerned. I like the scene as is but can see possibilities moving the leaf. The colors and disparate textures are just a delight. Well done.>=))>

Textures are wonderful, polarizer really helped to rid the glare on the leaves, excellent detail... as for the left leaf, I think I would have moved it to be diagonal and laid it right across the front of the greenery where all the brown is. Then the greenery shows up better. Now...that being said, I like it as is also, "mother nature" and all. I think you're doing an excellent job of showing the "tiny landscapes"! :wavey:

A great luminosity in this and the colors are marvelous as well. The texture contrast between the ferns and leaves is also very appealing. I see what you mean about the leaf in the ulc. Still very nice like this.

Real nice, Bill . . . there's a lot of depth, color, and texture to this scene, and that makes it very effective indeed. Great work!

This is stunning, Bill ! I think your work with this type of image is so good. Can't get much better than this for an intimate landscape. Placement of leaves just fine as Nature did it.

I like the texture and luminosity in the greens here. For me the leaf is fine as is. I hope to refine my eye to see more of these landscapes! Keep these comin'!

Sweet "florascape" Bill. I'm on board with the diagonal comments and I probably would have groomed a few other elements as well but the image is most excellent as presented. Nice light and details. A double toaster............ :toast: :toast:
