Kingfisher take off, north east Italy, close Treviso. Distance about 4,5 meter.

Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 500 mm f4, ISO 800, TV, 1/2500 sec, f8 -2/3, manual focus, no crop

Ciao, fabrizio.

Wow, just gorgeous. Love the rich jewel-toned colors of the bird and the background, and also like the bird's apparent eye contact with the camera. There is one tiny dark dot on the lower left that I would clone out. Other than that, perfect! :toast:

A really dynamic pose and great detail for a fast-moving subject like this. I'm not sure the composition/crop works for me personally (centered subject with a lot of empty space) , but I can't argue about the quality of the capture at all.

Just sweet - especially like the detail of the OOF grass in the BG... there's a dust spot in the LLC that should be taken care of. Crazy sharp!

Just a lovely image over all. Great full wing span. There appears to be a loss of detail in the lighter blues on the top of the tail. I've never seen this bird and so I don't know how they look-so maybe I just don't understand.
