We caught this beauty in the western corridor of the Serengheti; we were the only ones around and he was kind enough to give us a photo op. It's more of a "calendar" type picture, but we like it.

C&C appreciated.

Beautiful capture of the coat/fur. Nice head turn. Great pose on the downed log. Magnificent subject. Excellent photo. :toast:

Beautiful pose and rich background colors. Congrats for that special experience! Did you apply selective brightness/shadow adjustments? It seems to me the cat is a touch too much brighter than the background. I think I would try to saturate him more, with more mid-tone contrast or/and lower brightness very, very slightly. Again, excellent capture.

I like this too Lisa, that pose with her looking back at you is very compelling. Also the fact that the cat is unobstructed helps a lot to make it stand out and makes up for the lack of BG separation. I would suggest to darken the entire image down a tad, this will make the BG relatively darker then the cat and give a more pleasing look IMO (I tried it in PS) Thanks for sharing this beauty. :toast:

Good suggestions by Lon and Vincent. I like the look back pose and the foot placed against the branch.

I would love to see a repost following Vincent's sensible and easy fix!

I agree with the suggestions here. I suspect you used flash here, which is not always a great idea on mammals.
