Waxwing

The waxwing flock has been hanging around and will hopefully still be there tomorrow - I can't get enough of them. I was aiming for "clean" shots (which I managed a few of), but I rather like this one as well. Might not suit all tastes.

Could be a painting. Beautiful colours which match perfectly.

Hi Ian, love this one, great movement, and for me its nice to see a waxwing image where your not shooting up at the bird! Where you hanging in the next tree?

Thanks all

Scott

Were you hanging in the next tree?

They were actually feeding on a shoulder-high hedge, dropping to the ground for a drink in a puddle and to gather fallen berries. The main flock sat in some taller trees near the hedge, which I'm told is typical. behaviour.

The movement of the wings is great and is really complemented by the oof berries behind I think. Very well captured.
