This species makes sure that you don't get your Big Five that easily on an African Safari...

Central Serengeti was pretty dry/brown compared to the Southern areas that time of the year due to the seasonal rains. It was a stark contrast compared to the green grasses and hundreds of thousands of animals that congregated on the plains of Kusini/Ndutu around the same time. It's that time of the year, right now....

@f/3.2, ISO 400, cloudy, Seronera, Serengeti NP, Tanzania.

Regards,
Kiran :wavey:

What an expression! Wonderfully malevolent! I really appreciate the low perspective and the centered composition works very well for this capture. Well done!

Love that intense look Kiran! Only one nit: I wish you had included a larger version for us to enjoy this even better.

Love this one Kiran. Like Vincent I would like to see a larger version. This is one of those times that a center comp works perfectly and I like your choice of the shallow DOF. Curious as to what gear you were using?

Great shot. It's tougher to get this shot than people think... the eye contact (!), pose and surroundings are perfect. I could see a bit taken off the top, but really, no complaints. Really, a sweet photo.

Wow, the eyes are amazing! The "monotone" foreground and background work really nice inmaking the leopard stand out. Great composition!

Simple and powerful. The hint of teeth and the focused look with the tiny pupils grabs your attention and holds it.
