The otter is fine, but the background looks very grainy to me. Is it simply the nature of the rock, or is this a fairly heavy crop? If the later, it may be worth doing a duplicate layer, giving it a gaussian blur, and then rubbing out the top layer over the otter before merging the layers down.

The composition itself is very nice but is lacking critical sharpness on the otter itself - mind you their heads are usually a blur when they're munching away!

I must agree with the others here Ron the raw conversion has gone awry somewhat . Try less fill light and as stated a duplicate conversion to lose some of that noise . The head does look soft too.

Sorry Ron, as presented it simply is not sharp and the processing is quite a way off... Mark has it right, a bit too much photoshop fill light, it only works when used in very small amounts...
I do hope that this is a crop as I think that if you back off the crop it will improve, with the subject smaller in the frame the lack of sharpness will be less apparent.... back off on the processing and it will improve a tad... sorry...
