Superb Starling

Not a fan of the non-native European starling in this country, but this native of Tanzania while on safari was just "superb". Sorry, couldn't help myself

Untouched, except for resizing for post. Was wondering about cropping-not too crazy about upper right.

C&C appreciated

Hi Lisa. Do not think you need to crop the image, but would suggest you remove the leaf in front of the starling before printing. As a strict nature shot it has to be left in, but when printing for framing for your own use a little photoshop would not hurt. The star shaped seed pod is a nice extra.

I like the upper right and the composition in general. The bird is nice and sharp and pops from it's surroundings. Would be nice to see this one bigger.

Great shot but the leaf is distracting. Nice job on the blacks.

Superd indeed! Very striking looking bird. The leaf does detract a bit, but on the other hand, it makes a nice impression of a bird in habitat.

I kind of like how the bird is peeking around the leaf. Nice details and I like your comp as is.

I like the Peek-A-Boo look, and the colors in the bird are beautiful. I like your comp as is, with the included habitat. You could experiment with a vertical crop, the Right upper corner does not bother me. :toast:
